EHV Paradigm Shift, Part 2: AAEP, American Horse Council Urge Responsible Action, Monitor Horse Transport Regulations for Possible Changes as Outbreak Enters Second Week

In light of an outbreak of equine herpes virus, type 1, in western US states and western Canada provinces, the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) and the American Horse Council (AHC) have compiled some recommendations for horse owners about horse transport and biosecurity for horse owners. This is part 2 of a two-part article for The Jurga Report. Part 1 covers a national monitoring system of the outbreak to be implemented by the US Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service's Veterinary Service division.
